i finally ordered my 5 nail polish bottles…but i HAD to take a moment to talk about China Glaze “Ruby Pumps”.

when i first started honing my nail polish obsession during winter ‘09, “Ruby Pumps” was one of those colors that kept popping up on blog posts over & over again, with each blogger imploring that this polish was absolutely necessary for any true nail polish lover’s collection. which meant that i pretty much HAD TO HAVE IT.

it’s red and sparkly and shiny and glorious — just like Dorothy’s own ruby red pumps. feast your eyes on these awe-inspiring swatches. #ThankMeLater

i love working out while wearing super girly nail polish.

*rocking a “Rumple’s Wiggin” (OPI) mani while doing 200 weighted squats with “Hard in the Paint” blasted at ignant levels in my room*

so, i decided to use my 15% discount from Sephora to pick a bottle of Sephora by OPI polish from their Urban Ballerina collection.

“Leotard Optional” is a pretty mocha-beige (opaque!), similar to “Mambo” by Essie. it’s a great neutral for office settings or if you want something calm in between crazy manis.

i haven’t bought nail polish in at least a month and a half, so i’m excited to pick up a couple bottles to rock during the summer.
